The Grit Foundation Introduces K9 Grit
We are so excited to announce our first ever K9! Join us in welcoming Green Cove Springs Police Department's newest officer, K9 Grit. He is a 13 month old German Shepherd who in the coming months will be a certified dual purpose police dog. While he has a few months before school starts, he is busy getting to know the station, his fellow 2 legged officers and of course, getting a lot of quality time with his new handler Officer Garrett Crider. None of this would be possible without the generosity of all the Grit Foundation donors, the Grit board, and our amazing partners at the Green Cove Springs Police Department.
We truly cannot say enough good about them and the City behind them. A very special shout out goes to Mark with Black Creek K-9, LLC and Seth with Valor Working Dogs for all your guidance throughout this process. Finally, thank you to Plantation Animal Hospital in Fleming Island for generously donating your time and services during the pre-purchase process to ensure K9 Grit was ready and able to report for duty.
