Inaugural Grit Gala a Smashing Success!

The 2019 Grit Gala kicked off on Saturday, January 26, 2019 with over 300 in attendance. Guests enjoyed remarks from Congressman Ted Yoho (FL-03), Grit Foundation board member Johnny Counts, Co-Founders Matt Harrison, Kat Cammack, Jessica Norfleet and Gilchrist Sheriff Bobby Schultz. Master of Ceremonies Bob Rose and cohort Greg Cassidy delivered an incredible performance with the night ending to the sounds of the Ben Carter Band. Over 50 FFA and 4-H volunteers from all over North Florida helped serve the 250 first responders and their families.

Attendees participated in a silent auction, raffle drawings for a SIG Sauer P365, and two luxury fishing charters. Over $50,000 was raised for the Grit Gala with proceeds going to purchase life saving equipment for local first responders.
