Putnam County Sheriff’s Office to Announce Formal Partnership with Grit Foundation at Community “Gri


Gainesville, FL – Putnam County Sheriff Gator DeLoach in conjunction with members of the Grit Foundation board of Directors will announce their new partnership on Thursday, January 17, 2019. This partnership will allow the Grit Foundation to advocate on behalf of and support the Putnam County Sheriff’s office in ways not previously feasible including but not limited to: providing funding for gear, training, K-9s, critical resources, public relations assistance, and travel stipends.

Who: Putnam County Sheriff Gator DeLoach, senior leadership of Grit Foundation, local elected officials, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s office

Why: This strategic partnership will highlight existing needs of the Putnam County Sheriff’s office. Community members & members of the media can learn about how they can get involved and help the Grit Foundation meet the needs of the department.

The Grit Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization whose mission is to generate community-based support for local first responders and hometown heroes. In lieu of a department specific or county specific “friends of” organization, the Grit Foundation leverages regional resources by partnering with several local departments in order to provide them with resources, training, and positive community exposure not readily available.
